Survival guides for your vegetal compositions

Orchidées

Orchid

Exhibition :

Place your orchid in the light without direct sun, sheltered from drafts.

Temperature :

The ideal temperature is between 18 and 21 ° C.

Watering :

Bathe the plant once a week in lukewarm water and drain well before putting it back in its flowerpot. From March to September, add a dose of liquid orchid fertilizer once a month.

Advice :

After flowering, cut the stem with the flowers faded above the 2nd eye (20 to 25 cm from the foot).

Anthurium

Exhibition :

Anthurium prefers bright places without direct sun.

Temperature :

The ideal temperature is between 18 and 25 ° C.

Watering :

Water sparingly, twice a week, with almost warm water, to keep the clod slightly damp. Outside, in the rain or in under a vaporizer, the anthurium enjoys a small shower from time to time!

Advice :

When the old leaves turn yellow, do not hesitate to remove them.

Sansivieria 1

Sansevieria

Exhibition :

The Sansevieria is extremely tolerant but will be much better in a bright place, even in full sun.

Temperature :

The ideal temperature for Sansevieria is between 18 and 25 ° C. It will not tolerate a temperature below 10 ° C.

Watering :

This plant needs very little water. From April to October, it is advisable to moisten the soil every 2 weeks. In winter (from November to March) half a glass of water every two months is enough.

Advice :

Do not water in the rosette of the leaves.

Spathiphyllum

Exhibition :

The Spathiphyllum enjoys a moderately sunny location at or in the shade, but never in full sun.

Temperature :

The ideal temperature is between 15 and 23 ° C.

Watering :

Abundant watering with lukewarm water about once a week is usually sufficient. The root ball must always be moist. This plant will also adore sprays with warm water. For a healthy Spathiphyllum, it is advisable to add fertilizer once a month to the water.

Advice :

If the Spathiphyllum leaves its leaves hanging, it means that the root ball is dry.

To make the plant bloom over several years, a period of winter rest is required! Place it in a clear place at a temperature of about 15 ° C for six to eight weeks, reduce the watering temporarily and it will bloom again abundantly.

Zamioculcas

Exhibition :

Zamioculcas is as good in the shade as in well-lit areas.

Temperature :

The ideal temperature is between 18 and 22 C °.

Watering :

Zamioculcas is a very hardy plant that requires little care. The only thing she really hates is the foot baths. The mound can slightly dehydrate between two waterings, the plant has succulent properties in its stems, leaves and roots, allowing it to survive during drier periods.

Advice :

Old leaves can be removed and new leaves will form if there is enough light

Cactus

Exhibition :

In summer, the cactus can be placed in a warm and sunny place, even outside on the terrace or balcony. In winter, put it in a cooler and well-lit place. This winter rest period helps the plant to bloom better in the spring.

Watering :

Too much water is never good! Let your cactus dehydrate before re-watering.

Advice :

For the plant to bloom every year, it is advisable to water it more in summer than in winter.

Ouch! It stings! Remember to place your cactus in a protected area where children and pets can not access.

Echeveria

Echeveria

Exhibition :

The Echeveria likes to have a lot of light, but especially no direct sun if it is behind a window.

Watering :

Nothing easier ! Wait until the soil is very dry before watering and favor a good watering rather than a multitude of small waterings.

Advice :

The leaves of succulents are loaded with water. If they collapse, it is because they need to be watered.

Falling plants

Exhibition :

These plants like light but in a more subdued way. Therefore, avoid direct contact with the sun’s rays.

Watering :

Once or twice a week is enough.

Advice :

If you go on vacation, just water them thoroughly before your departure and they will survive for almost three weeks without any difficulty.
